- Support for newly-established innovative enterprises
General objective of the project
To create an innovative, isolated and scalable platform for simulating and evaluating cybersecurity vulnerabilities at the IoT–IT intersection, enabling controlled testing of IoT devices, communication protocols and their interaction with IT infrastructure, in order to strengthen cyber resilience.
Specific objectives of the project
- Development of a virtualized IoT environment (devices/simulators, gateways, protocols: MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/HTTPS, Zigbee, Z-Wave, BLE, LoRaWAN) and a virtualized IT environment (servers, workstations, IAM, networks/IDS-IPS).
- Implementation of IoT–IT interconnection mechanisms (edge computing, TLS/SSL encrypted channels) and automated test orchestration (IoT-specific attack simulation, repeatable scenarios).
- Integration of monitoring, logging and reporting components for early risk identification and vulnerability remediation.
Expected results
- Functional IT-IoT Security platform with virtualized IoT environment + gateways; replicated IT environment (networks, firewall, IDS/IPS, IAM); test orchestrator and threat simulations; analysis & reporting module for remediation recommendations.
- Test scenarios relevant for smart home, smart factories, medical IoT and smart cities.
- Best-practices guide for IoT developers/operators.
